- nationality is depicted in the oval at the bottom - the yellow background is crossed by a scarlet stripe (this image of the national colors was used on all the banners of Baden in Great Army)

- the top of the oval shows the Black Forest mountains, the symbol of Baden.

- image of a cannon with cannonballs, 4 banners and 1 standard - this is the army of Baden (artillery, 4 infantry regiments and a dragoon regiment)

- the armor symbolizes the medieval knightly motto "Fidelitas".

It can be assumed that this is the staff seal of Major General Count Wilhelm von Hochberg.

This is the seal of the outgoing mail of the Baden contingent, and was kept by the chief of staff in the field office. At the beginning of the company, the (office) was under the protection of 28 lower ranks of the Garde du Corps squadron, later they were replaced by the 2nd infantry company of the Life Regiment, who, apparently, did not protect the property entrusted to them (including the personal luggage of the youngest Hochberg, in which there were two paintings that he bought for 300 francs (!!) in Warsaw.
